Oh no!!

We've had a couple interesting happenings the last little while. First off, our fish (which you all so helpfully named) are no longer with us. Everything seemed to be going well with our tank. One of our fishes even had babies (well, we actually only saw one baby fish) here he is:

Can you see him on the leaf of the plant?? See the rock that stands out the highest, look on the leaf directly above that. Can you see him now? No? Well just trust me he's there. Anyway, we were pretty excited about the little baby, but then the mommy fish started to look worse and worse as the day went on. The next day we had one less fish. :( Shortly after that the daddy fish also died, I think he died of a broken heart... okay it wasn't that funny of a joke. Well, anyway we now have no fish. Except once in a great while we see the baby fish swimming around. Who knows, maybe he will survive. After all, there is no predators in the tank any more, right? Cross your fingers.

On a happier note: Russton is really getting to be an expert explorer. He can reach things that he never could before. Take for instance these pictures:This is noodles with spaghetti sauce! I had his tray of food on the table where it would be "safe." I walked away for a moment, and the next thing I knew it was all over the floor. It still baffles me that he can reach up that high! This would never have been possible even a few weeks ago!! It is just incredible how much he can get into! Don't worry, I only let him eat off the floor while I went to get the camera... ha ha. Anyway, these are our most exciting and adventurous stories lately, hope you enjoyed them.

Only truly great mom's would let their child eat a few off the floor! A child should be able to have every experience they possibly can and that includes eating noodles and sauce off the floor :D Your a great mom!!! As for Russtion, I just want to eat him up!!!!

So sad to hear about the fish. It's probably a good thing that Russton isn't old enough to realize what happened. Do you think you'll get some more?

Alyssa,

This is Alisha (Anderson) from the old days in Bridgerland. I found your blog by stalking several people, and wanted to say hello. You look fantastic and Russton is seriously the cutest kid.

I agree with Shelley, only the great let their kids eat off of the floor.

I hope you don't mind my stopping by! Remember that awesome day when our bedroom door locked? It was rad.
